Jeannette teaches me yoga twice a week
and the Alexander Technique once a week. I cannot think
of framing my week any better. She is very creative with
her yoga - it's always a delightful session and she has
an amazing gift in teaching the Alexander Technique. Both
practices are improving my posture and providing me with
an incredible sense of peace.

My work with the Alexander Technique has helped to
establish an acute awareness of my habits and patterns
in daily movement. Specifically, it helps by providing
some clear examples of how easeful movement actually
feels. Through AT lessons with Jeannette, I now have
a reliable model for movement (and for drumming) with
less tension. This translates well to music performance,
among other things. The Technique also plays a key role
in my learning to live with tendonitis. As an Alexander
Technique teacher, Jeannette's style is both gentle
and exact. She creates a lesson environment that feels
safe while she also demonstrates a very fluent understanding
of the Technique.

After starting Jeannette’s yoga class in 2004, I have attended more than 50 classes with her, and even though I have had exposure to many other excellent teachers, she remains my favorite.
Also, Jeannette has been an integral part of my Spirit of the New Workplace M.B.A. classes at the Darden Business School. She has done a fantastic job teaching between 24-50 students, each with varying degrees of yoga experience, through an easy 1-hour class that many consider the best part of the entire course!
