About Jeannette

Jeannette believes that we all deserve to feel safe and at ease in our own bodies. Learning to tune in to our own body and notice what is happening with our breath and our body helps us to ground in the present moment. Being aware of our body brings a sense of grounded safety. Jeannette has completed the Humanual training (merging Alexander Technique with Somatic Experiencing) with Trauma expert and Somatic Experiencing trainer, Betsy Polatin.

Jeannette is an AmSAT certified Alexander Technique teacher and has been practicing AT for over 20 years.

After having her own child, she became interested in working more with children. She recently completed her training with the Developing Self in order to learn how to bring AT to children in a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate way.

Jeannette is a RYT, certified in Kripalu Yoga. Recently, she completed her training with Little Flower Yoga to bring trauma informed yoga to children. Her children’s yoga classes are creative, playful, and include improvisational dance and movement. They are collaborative and focus on building self-awareness in community.

Jeannette lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband, son, cat, and dog and spends a lot of time outside in nature.

Jeannette is a phenomenal teacher and healer. Through the awareness that comes with each step of the Alexander Technique she has brought deep healing to my body. I now move and breathe with a freedom I have not experienced in a long time.
